Developed skills and lines of research
Teresa Zelante is an associate professor of General Pathology at the University of Perugia, where she graduated in Pharmacy in 2004 and where she obtained a PhD in Biology and Experimental Medicine in 2008. She then followed several post-doc courses, partly in Italy and partly abroad at the Singapore Immunology Network until 2014, when she became a researcher in Pathology at the University of Perugia thanks to the “Rita Levi Montalcini” program for young researchers. Her research interests are related to the implications for the immune system of Aspergillus fumigatus infections, also in cystic fibrosis.
