Developed skills and lines of research
Paolo Scudieri graduated in Biological Sciences from the University of Genoa in 2010, obtained a Specialization Diploma in Clinical Pathology from the University of Pisa in 2016, and a PhD in Pediatric Sciences from the University of Genoa in 2018. From 2010 to 2016, he worked at the Giannina Gaslini Institute in Genoa and, subsequently, at TIGEM in Pozzuoli (Naples). Since 2020, he has been a researcher and lecturer in Medical Genetics at the Department of Neuroscience, Rehabilitation, Ophthalmology, Genetics, and Maternal and Child Sciences (DINOGMI) of the University of Genoa, and a senior health biologist at the Giannina Gaslini Institute. In 2020, he received the Gerd Döring Award, promoted by the European Cystic Fibrosis Society, and is currently an editor and reviewer for several leading international peer-reviewed scientific journals. He has collaborated, in various capacities, with important cystic fibrosis research initiatives also funded by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Ministry of University and Research, the Telethon Foundation, and the Vertex Innovation Awards.
