Developed skills and lines of research
Elena Petricci graduated in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology and obtained her PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Siena, where she is currently Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry.
She has extensive expertise in organic and medicinal chemistry, strengthened through research appointments at EPFL, the University of Graz, and The Scripps Research Institute in San Diego.
Her research focuses on the design and synthesis of innovative Antibody–Drug Conjugates for cancer and infectious diseases. She is Principal Investigator or Unit Leader in projects funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) and the European Union. She is a member of the Organic Chemistry Division of the Italian Chemical Society, and collaborates with leading research institutions and pharmaceutical companies, including ISPRO, ISS, the Institut Pasteur, and the Fondazione Biotecnopolo, as well as with pharmaceutical companies.
