Developed skills and lines of research
Francesca Pacello graduated in Biology in 1995 from the University of Rome Tor Vergata and earned a PhD in Biochemistry and Biomolecular Sciences in 1999. Since 2008, she has been a research assistant at the Department of Biology at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. Her research focuses on the structure and function of proteins, particularly metalloproteins, with an emphasis on the role of metals and metalloproteins in bacterial virulence and the role of antioxidants in controlling bacterial infections in cystic fibrosis.
