Developed skills and lines of research

Enza Montemitro has graduated and completed her specialisation at Sapienza University of Rome, and she obtained a Ph.D.in Paediatric Sciences, gaining international experience in Brussels and undertaking advanced training in Canada.
She is now a Senior Consultant at the Department of Pulmonology and Cystic Fibrosis at the Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital in Rome and National Coordinator of the ‘Paediatric Cystic Fibrosis’ group at SIMRI.
She participates as a Sub-Investigator in international clinical trials on cystic fibrosis, contributing to the development of innovative therapies. Dr. Montemitro has specialised in lung transplantation in Vienna and Toronto and she is a leading figure in Italian paediatrics, specialising in respiratory medicine and chronic respiratory conditions in children.
Her work combines research and clinical practice, with a focus on translational medicine and multidisciplinary collaboration. She is committed to developing innovative techniques for the early assessment of lung function in children.
