Developed skills and lines of research

Giuseppe Magazzù obtained his degree in Medicine and Surgery in 1973 and his specialization in Pediatrics in 1976 at the Pediatrics Institutes of the Universities of Messina and Naples. Since 1999, he has been a full professor at the University of Messina, University Hospital, where he is also the Director of the Cystic Fibrosis and Pediatric Gastroenterology Unit for Teaching and Research.

Professor Magazzù’s main areas of interest are celiac disease, cystic fibrosis, functional digestive disorders, and nutrition.

In 2019, he joined the Board of Directors of the Cystic Fibrosis Research Foundation (FFC Ricerca).
