Sonia Graziano is a specialist in clinical psychology and psychotherapist. She is a senior psychologist at the Psychology Unit – Child and Adolescent Neuropsychiatry Department at the Bambino Gesù Pediatric Hospital in Rome (Italy). For over 10 years, she has collaborated with the Pulmonology and Cystic Fibrosis Unit, focusing on clinical care and research on depression, anxiety, and quality of life in people with cystic fibrosis and their caregivers.
She holds a Master’s in Global Mental Health: Trauma and Recovery from Harvard Medical School (2009) and completed advanced CF-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy training on treating anxiety and depressive symptoms in cystic fibrosis at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston (2019).
Over the past three years, she has served as co-chair of the Mental Health Working Group of the European Cystic Fibrosis Society (ECFS) and as a member of the Mental Health Advisory Committee of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF, USA). Co-founder of the Italian National Trauma Center, dedicated to protecting physical and mental health following traumatic experiences, she is also author of numerous scientific publications.
