Developed skills and lines of research
Maurizio Fraziano graduated in Biological Sciences from La Sapienza University of Rome in 1992 and obtained his PhD in Cytodifferentiation and Morphogenesis in 1996. Since 2001, he has taught various courses, including Immunotechnology, Immunology, Molecular Basis of Cellular Response to Infections, Immunology and Pathology, and Applied Immunology.
He has been a university researcher at the Department of Biology, University of Rome Tor Vergata, since 2001. His scientific output includes over 40 indexed publications and two patents. For the Italian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (FFC Ricerca), he is studying a new antibacterial aerosol based on specialized liposomes (lipid particles) that enhance natural immune defenses. Since 2015, he has been an Associate Professor of Medical Microbiology at the Department of Biology, School of Sciences, University of Rome Tor Vergata.
