Developed skills and lines of research

Emilio Clementi graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan, obtained his PhD under the supervision of Jacopo Meldolesi, and completed his training at University College London under Sir Salvador Moncada. He was a researcher at Magna Graecia University and subsequently an associate professor at the University of Calabria; since 2005, he has been a full professor of Pharmacology at the University of Milan.
Clementi is Head of the Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences at the same university, Secretary General of the International Union of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology (IUPHAR) and a member of the Pharmacovigilance Risk Assessment Committee (PRAC) of the European Medicines Agency.
He is currently a member of the FFC Ricerca Scientific Committee.
