Developed skills and lines of research
Harriet Corvol earned both her degree in Medicine and Pediatrics specialization (2001) at the Sorbonne University in Paris. Following a pediatric internship, she focused on the care of patients with cystic fibrosis at the Pediatric Pulmonology Department of Trousseau Hospital in Paris, where she also has been serving as director of the cystic fibrosis center (CRCM) since it was created in 2002.
In addition to her medical activities, she conducts research in the field of cystic fibrosis: during her medical thesis, she studied airway inflammation in cystic fibrosis and, after returning from a post-doctoral fellowship in the United States, she took on the role of coordinator for a French research group studying modifier genes in cystic fibrosis. She actively collaborates with leading laboratories in North America and Europe. For the Italian Cystic Fibrosis Research Foundation, Harriet Corvol has worked with Giulio Cabrini of the Integrated University Hospital of Verona. She currently works in the Pediatric pneumology unit at the Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris.
