Developed skills and lines of research

Rosaria Casciaro graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Genoa in 1994. In 1999, she specialized in Pediatrics at the same university and in 2000 she completed a post-graduate course in Pediatric Emergency and Emergency Medicine. Since 2004, she has been a pediatric assistant at the Cystic Fibrosis Center of the Gaslini Institute in Genoa.

For the FFC Ricerca, she investigates the active involvement of patients with cystic fibrosis and their caregivers, focusing on adolescents aged 14-17. Additionally, she studies clinicians’ engagement with the healthcare system and their relationships with patients. Scientific evidence underscores the crucial role of caregivers in supporting active patient participation, enhancing the success rates of therapeutic interventions in both the short and long term.
